Join us for our latest dance/theater project -- two-and-a-half yars in the making: Berries and Bulls, is an expose on the inherent tangles found in long-term relationships. Through movement and text, four people vibrating on different frequencies try to connect. They misread signals; push touching to extremes; and taunt each other into playing physically risky games. The stakes are high for these relationships to fail. But by tipping reality on its side -- with fantastial stories and fanciful props (blueberries, goose feathers, paper airplanes) -- the performers find an entry point for communicating and questioning: What are our expectations of others? How much can we rely on those closest to us? Characteristic of Tiffany Mills' style, bold movement, surprising text, and daring partnering (featuring four seasoned dancers: Jeffrey Duval, Kevin Ho, Emily Pope-Blackman, Petra van Noort) will all play their part in this hour-long work that examines flaws and foibles revealed in relationships. Dramaturge: Peter Petralia, Editing Advisor: Kay Cummings, Lighting Designer: Chris Hudacs |
